Dexpatch offers two primary types of messaging to suit various communication goals: Promotional SMS and Transactional SMS.
Promotional SMS: This is designed for general promotional messages. The limitations include non-delivery to DND numbers, Airtel may deliver with a default sender ID
and non-delivery at night (8 pm to 8 am). The current price is N8 per SMS.
Transactional SMS: This is ideal for critical messages (like OTPs, transaction alerts, and registration verifications) sent via your application's API. It allows delivery to DND numbers and delivery at any time without restriction. The current price is N10 per SMS.
To utilize the dedicated Transactional route, a Corporate Sender ID registration is mandatory.
Required Documents: You must submit a letter of authorization on your company letterhead, along with relevant documents such as your company’s CAC certificate. These documents are sent to all major Nigerian telecom providers (MTN, GLO, Airtel, and 9Mobile).
Prerequisites: You must have used a minimum of N50,000 worth of SMS credits or have a minimum account balance of N50,000 before the registration process can begin.
Timeline: The registration process typically takes about 3-4 weeks to complete.
No, Dexpatch operates on a prepaid basis. There are no monthly, setup, or contract fees involved; you simply purchase and use SMS credits.
Failed Messages: You pay for failed messages (those not delivered to the database) because the networks charge Dexpatch for all submissions (with the exception of DND-rejected messages on the regular route, which are refunded). Dexpatch also expends resources retrying these messages.
Credit Expiration: Dexpatch SMS credits do NOT expire.
Account Deletion: Any unused credits remaining in your account upon deletion will be forfeited.
